Irises for my mother: 2015 (update)

Last year, as I’ve mentioned before, I didn’t have much luck with my irises.
They sent up shoots, but there were no flowers.
This year …

… Yes that’s right —
there was one lone iris in amongst all the green shoots.

      1. You can use organics any time as they won’t burn and take a while to work down to the roots. I’d do right away to get a jump on next season. Mulching might help retain moisture and keep a more even temperature at the root zone, not to mention reducing competition from weeds.
