Recently, out bushwalking, I came across a bunch of kangaroos
bivouacking under the trees.
I felt as though I had gate-crashed on their gathering.
One of the females certainly let me know how she felt about my intrusion.
So I left them to their party …
They are such an astonishing animal to have evolved to hop – pretty remarkable. Are wild kangaroos dangerous?
They’re not usually dangerous to humans … but they have pretty powerful bodies. Their tails are extremely strong; if you were to get whipped by a tail as a kangaroo bounded away, you’d be very badly hurt. And the males certainly fight with each other very fiercely, so I wouldn’t be taking any chances!
